Nearly three decades of serving our community with excellence
Calmspringcare Hospital was founded by Dr. Margaret Calmspring with a vision to provide compassionate healthcare to the Springfield community. Started with 50 beds and 25 dedicated staff members.
Added the cardiac care unit and expanded to 120 beds. Introduced advanced cardiac catheterization lab and recruited leading cardiologists to the region.
Opened the Calmspringcare Cancer Center, providing comprehensive oncology services including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical oncology under one roof.
Achieved Level II Trauma Center designation, becoming the primary trauma facility for the region and significantly improving emergency care capabilities.
Launched advanced robotic surgery program with da Vinci surgical systems, offering minimally invasive procedures across multiple specialties.
Completed major facility expansion adding 100 new beds, state-of-the-art NICU, and advanced imaging center with 3T MRI and 128-slice CT scanner.
Experienced healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence
Dr. Martinez brings over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, he previously served as CMO at Regional Medical Center before joining Calmspringcare in 2018.
Dr. Chen is a board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist with expertise in quality improvement and patient safety. She leads our clinical excellence initiatives and medical staff development.
With 20 years of nursing experience, Michael leads our nursing excellence programs and ensures the highest standards of patient care across all departments.
Dr. Patel is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She oversees all surgical services and leads our surgical quality improvement initiatives.
Jennifer brings extensive healthcare finance experience, ensuring fiscal responsibility while supporting our mission to provide accessible, high-quality care to all patients.
Dr. Foster is board-certified in Emergency Medicine with additional certification in Emergency Medical Services. He leads our 24/7 emergency department and trauma services.
